UFE Procedure Specialists Near Peekskill, NY
At VIVA EVE, we specialize in providing comprehensive counseling and UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization) procedures to women looking for a medically advanced, safe alternative to the major surgery commonly used to treat fibroids and adenomyosis, a similar non-cancerous condition often confused with fibroids.
UFE is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure designed to block the blood flow to the fibroid tumor, shrinking it until it dies. The technique used to treat adenomyosis is the same as the one used to treat uterine fibroids, this procedure blocks the blood supply to the affected endometrial tissue causing it to die and the adenomyosis symptoms to subside. The procedure is performed while the patient is conscious or minimally sedated, but feeling no pain.
The innovative UFE procedure is performed by our board-certified specialists who have years of experience in the field. Our state-of-the-art outpatient facility has the latest equipment, and our medical staff are trained to provide the best level of care and personal attention to our patients in Peekskill.
Why choose UFE?
Approximately 14,000 successful Uterine Fibroid Embolization procedures are performed annually in the United States. UFE is a very safe method, and like other minimally invasive procedures, has significant advantages over conventional surgery. Studies have shown that nearly 90 percent of women who undergo UFE experience significant or complete resolution of their fibroid-related symptoms.

“I really appreciate this place, my surgery seem to be a great success. I had the best support from the office professionals, the Dr. and I love Emily and Liz. These ladies are very companionate and welcoming and this is the type of service you need in times like these. The facility takes excellent care of their patients and are concerned with your well being. I recommended them to two people already, and I know those two are in great hands. Emily and Liz, you totally rock!
I appreciate you, I can enjoy life a little more now. I still have some time to go, but I feel better indeed."
Peekskill is located within the New York City metropolitan area in Westchester County with a population of 23,583. In September 1609, Henry Hudson, captain of the Halve Maen, anchored along the reach of the Hudson at Peekskill. His firstmate noted in the ship's log that it was a "very pleasant place to build a town". After the establishment of the province of New Netherland, New Amsterdam resident Jan Peeck made the first recorded contact with the Lenape people of this area, then identified as "Sachoes". The date is not certain, (possibly early 1640s), but agreements and merchant transactions took place, formalized in the Ryck's Patent Deed of 1684. The name Peekskill derives from a combination of Mr. Peek's surname and the Dutch word for stream, kil or kill.
